I have heard two songs that are so lovely and bring out that Caribbean flavor of sun, sand, love, tranquility, relaxation, and graciousness.

Thay are:

Nah leaving and I think the name is Ah Home....Please inform me. My family and I looooooooooove your beautiful Island. The breath taking views and the kindness of the people. The night life is great and we are out until 5 am without a worry in the world.

Please give me a list of songs?

An American citizen love the lovely islands of Trinidad and Tobago

  1. Yo, my buddies and I went there for Carnival and that was off the hook!!!

Will be back again...St. James was the place to be..

  2. most of those songs named are old. try kes and nadia baston my land.

the main thing said in the song is

    this is my land

and i will never ever go

this is the only place i know

now everybody have fun in the sun and we never ever

stop until the day is done

TRINIDAD we love you so much

this is my land and i will never ever roam

this is my heart my house my home and we jumping waving dancing to one beat.

everybody have fun in the sun and we never stop until the day is done until the day is done

this is my land this is my home this is the only place i know

while typing this i am listening to the song it just fills you with pride to be a trini. no greater song represnts trinidad like this song

this song gives you a proud feeling inside of you

  3. Calypso (old style, politisizing, informing the people of the political climate of the country etc.), some great names that can give you some insite of a historical nature is Chalkdust, Shadow, Relator, The Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, David Rudder

Soca (the evolution of calpyso, modern version, some a complete departure from the old form of calpyso, some a combination of both),

Chutney (a mixture of calypso & east indian music),

Parang (spanish music played exclusively during the christmas season, can be found also mixed in with calypso),

Marengay (another form of spanish music, the type sang by Ricky Martin, originated in Trinidad),

    and

Reggae (not dance hall, although by now its probably evolved into that already and slowly replacing the reggae of old).

Spirituals and traditional folklore music as well as all of the above music is representative of peoples of the twin Islands.  There is many to choose from, if you want a real sense of the people then i suggest you start with the old and work your way up to the new.

  4. Oh, say can you see,By the dawn's early light,What so proudly we hailed At the twilight's last gleaming,Whose broad stripes and bright stars, Through the perilous fight,O'er the ramparts we watched Were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, The bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night That our flag was still there.

O, say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave

O'er the land of the brain in balls

And the home of the *****?

  5. Apart from those lovely songs listed above, I personally love the song by Anselm Douglas called My sugar Island.

  6. no problem man.

    Trini 2 d bone - David Rudder

    Portrait of Trinidad - Baron
