Question:

I'm an artist and i collect and paint golfballs. how do i make the outside smooth?

because the paint i put on the golf balls makes them kind of rough. go i like bake them or something? is it the same technique as making coffee mugs?

  1. I cannot IMAGINE WHY you are using golfballs for your support...but that said PLEASE be advised, that the center of golfballs is under huge pressure and whatever you do to them, do NOT cut or puncture them or they can literally explode and cause you damage.


  2. Golf balls are not designed to be heated, and I know of no paints that "level out" from baking anyway.  I recommend you use liquid acrylics and not build up paint too thickly if you want them to turn out smoother.
