  2. Yes the length is about right. More important is the stiffness of the ski and the design or side cut. If the ski is an all mountain ski, it should be fine if it's a "park" model, maybe a little long.  The tune of the ski is most important. Keep them waxed and the edges sharp.

  3. Sounds perfect. For intermediate skis 5-10cm shorter than your height is a good rough guide.

    But ski fit is also determined by weight.  You should make sure that you're within the range the skis are designed for and then you're good to go!
