  1. It sounds like it could be either a strength or stance issue. If your noticing this after you've skied a few runs, it's more than likely due to (like Rob suggested) strength and/or balance. If you're noticing it right away it 's possibly your stance and some orthotic insoles can help you get the proper alignment.

  2. It has nothing to do with dry training....leg strength just hides bad technique

you are not trusting your left leg to hold your weight

practice making right turns with your right ski lifted OFF the ground...after a while your body will develop muscle memory that will enable you to carve right turns with only your left leg and your right ski will stop edging those turns(which is why your right foot is finding its own path)

how close are you trying to get your feet togethor....parobolic skis don't preform too well when they are on top of each other

  3. Both Rob and Avi_ski know what they are talking about. Have you ever had and ankle break? The new ski boots can be adjusted to help a bit.

I have suffered many anckle problems before from pole vaulting and my ankles go "out" sometimes and it does cause problems. Also make sure that your boot is fitted properly to your ski. If there is some snow build up in between the ski and the boot and you can still get fixed it it could cause a problem.

Often when I have a ski that doesn't track right I kick it off and put it back on again.

It could also be whom ever is tuning your skis. Try switching skis to the other foot and see if the problem goes to the other side.

  4. If you're not training off the slopes, you should be. Squats and riding a bike (real or stationary) are good things to do.

balance exercises will help your ankles. I think the best device is a skier's edge machine or a fitter, but if you can't find one of these a balance board will help, or you could just do some lateral hopping exercises.

A lesson will also help you with your form.
