  1. I think you need  a   visa  but check on wikipedia.com and put in american passport and at the bottom you will get a list of countries you  need a visa for .

    good luck!

  2. Why would u want to got to a terrorist state?

  3. you always need a visa to go out of the country unless it is a US terrotory

  4. Yes, absolutely.  I highly recommend you work with a travel agent who specializes in the Middle East.  Visas are usually available upon arrival if you've booked through an authorized tour agent.  As an independent traveler it could be much more difficult.

  5. no a passport, they need visa to come here..

  6. Assuming you aren't also a Syrian citizen, and you're going to use a U.S. passport, 'you certainly will. Take a look at the Country Specific Information section at travel.state.gov. you can access that from the home page on the bottem left. You'll also see that unlike many other countries in the Middle East, Syria doesn't issue visas at the  airport on entry. Syria also doesn't allow people who've previously travelled to Israel, or Occupied Palestine as it's known on Syrian visa applications, to receive a visa or travel to Syria. Keep in mind if you are a dual national, that once in Syria, you are considered a Syrian citizen and are subject to all of its laws. So, men could be drafted into military service, among many other things.
