Question:

I'm around 5 months pregnant, and need opinions...?

I'm anywhere from 4 1/2 months to 5 1/2 months along. We're not completely sure but will be in the next 2 weeks. I have a 5 year old daughter, but my pregnancy with her wasn't like this at all hardly.

I'm not sure if any of this is normal, or if anyone has gone through this ever:

I get so tired throughout the day, and have to take a nap.

When I go shopping and I'm standing for 30 minutes or more, my stomach feels like it's stretching or something (maybe it's just getting heavy...I have no clue) and I have to take little sitting breaks, and I feel awful if I don't. I just get a tired urge to just sit down. If I can't find a chair, I just find a place and just sit on the floor for a few minutes no matter how embarrassing it is for me.

I have to have a full body pillow for my stomach, and when I move certain ways, it feels like my lower stomach stretches, which is kind of painful, similar to waxing but maybe not as bad...I don't have a very high pain tolerance.

I had nausea and vomiting for 3 months straight. Every smell or everything that didn't look clean grossed me out. I'm getting better though.

A few people think that I should have felt the baby move by now. Is that true? The bubbles, etc.

Sometimes I can take one bite of my food and I'm full...it's like I ate a huge meal.

I already have a huge chest...is there a way I can keep them from getting larger?

Thanks in advance!

  1. yes that's all normal, your body doesn't have to react the same way as it did with your first pregnancy... they are all different.

Yes you could feel the baby now, but you dont necessarily have too, some women don't feel it until later, and as for your breast getting larger, no there is nothing you can do about it, they will get larger whether you like it or not!

    Congrats though.

  2. Everything you just mentioned sounds normal to me. I get exhausted throughout the day from frikkin sitting and making sandwiches. I threw up for 2 months in the beginning some throw up the whole time. my stomach feels heavy and "stretchy" all the time. just because someone else felt the baby move at that point does not mean that you are. every pregnancy is different even if it's in the same woman. I already have a huge chest DDD to be exact and no I don't think there is anyway to keep them from getting bigger. with being full fast, you have to remember, your stomach is being squished so not much room for it to expand that would be why us prego's don't eat a lot but eat more often. good luck and Congratulations sweetie

and I do agree with everyone saying to see your Dr. it's always better to be safe then sorry.

hehe, it is kinda funny tho how everyone who has had those same "symptoms" all have or having boys.

  3. I have 3 girls 13& 7 &3 all  different very sick for the first 2 lost 25 pounds with the second lived on my bath room for almost 7 months you can't always go by the books sleep on your left side your blood flows better for you and baby as long as you get a couple of bites in your baby is getting enough nutrition if you feel concerned about fetal movement go to your local er or urgent care tell them you haven't felt the baby move and ask for a sonogram trust me you will be fine also it's been some years since your first baby and age might be a factor in how easy your getting tired good luck and remember ever pregnancy is different

  4. Its a BOY!!

  5. the exhaustion and stuff sounds normal, don't worry about that. its your second pregnancy and you have a five year old daughter so no one can blame you for being tired! plus, the stretching sounds normal as well, it is your second pregnancy, the baby will probably be bigger so thats fine. but if you haven't felt your baby move yet, thats a bit worrisome. you should really go to the doctor or hospital and get that checked out, see if everythings ok. you should really have felt it move by now, with your second probably by 18weeks or so. hope it all goes well, congrats!

oh, and ps: there's not much you can do about your b***s getting bigger. sorry!

  6. Sounds like septuplets.

  7. Yes. Everything normal. I have a son and that sounds EXACTLY like my pregnancy.

And sorry about the chest, you can't prevent that one!!

  8. Ask your doctor if you are having symptoms of toxemia.

  9. It sounds like I have found my other half!! Identical to my pregnancy, even the hugh b***s!!!

Don't worry, I had an extremely healthy, baby boy, 10'11 at birth! All that napping and sitting did him good!

  10. why dont you pay a visit to the doctors

  11. i had the same things. it doesn'tt always mean its a boy, but i have had the same symptoms. Although it could if you didn't have the same things with your little girl. I am only almost 4 months, and still have them from time to time. and I asked my doctor about the boob thing because I happen to have the same problem, and the only thing to do is keep coco butter on the them to try to not get stretch marks, because they are getting bigger and bigger no matter what you do.
