I'm attending half a school year in America and the other half in Japan. I was wondering if I take the equivialent of the course I'm taking in America but take it over in Japan if those credits would still count, since I'll be returning back to my home in America and dont want to have to repeat some of my classes that are requirements. Sorry If that doesnt make sense.!! So please help me with my situation!

  1. The only thing you can do is to see a counselor at the school you are attending, and see if your counselor can contact the school in Nihon to see if there can be an agreement on credit valuation.

What you are asking, I presume, is for your dual registrations to internationally apply in both schools.

Every college and university in our nation has its own academic standards.  Even in our USA, transferring from say University of Oregon to Stanford University, their educational standards are different.  They check the criteria for any classes you have already taken from other educational institutions, and any that do not meet their standards (sometimes even when the other educational institution standards EXCEEDS their standards, which happened to me when University of Iowa dis-allowed some of my classes because they were too advanced for their curriculum !!!!!!!!!!!) get "lined-out" and discredited!

So you need to check with both institutions, and particularly with the college or university you are now at, and see what can be worked out.
