I'd like to watch the movie but its not playing on cable.

I was just wondering, in the plays and on T.V., how Candy would act. Her mannerisms, accent, body language.

ANY ACTING HELP AT ALL WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

  1. Well, first, here is the role of Candy in the book (the script used by most high schools is based on the book more then the movie, although both are excellent.): She is a prostitute friend of McMurphy's.

When he takes the men on a fishing expedition on a day pass, she is his "Chaperone", persay. In the book she and McMurphy leave to do...things, which are not illustrated except for when she comes out wearing only her shorts and a jacket. Billy Bibbit takes a liking to her and although it is almost like a chidlish crush, she pursues him, posisbly just to humor him. When at the end of the book they have a party in the ward Billy has s*x with Candy, and when they are discovered he feels terribly ashamed and kills himself.

So that's the essence of what the script may contain. Since it's a high school production, I don't know how much of it will be included. (I've unfortunately never gotten the chance to work on a production of this.)

Candy is rather loose and carefree, almost in an airy, druggie way, but also is a giggly girl. Just a 20 year old girl who wants to have fun.

Also, she is not a very large role in the story. (Incase you were looking for a large part.)

    Good luck and have fun!
