I'm back with a newly written verse. please comment.?

Question

What is a prophet? A prism to heaven’s sheen

Of seven virtues meshed as one so white,

A beacon to paths that still lay unseen

A broad bridge leading to our pious height

Is he not the only string of God’s lyre?

That fills our hearts with melodies of love

And summons us to feast, to never tire

Of God’s holy luxuries sent from above

A great first line, just two beats long as compared to the other lines. Your meter moves around too, but I don't if you intend to adhere or let it flow.  The only line I thought odd was line 5..."only string'?  The word luxuries coming from God needs changing.  Still a very good read with a great opening line.

Rid, you're meter might need a couple of small adjustments, but that is all.  By your own definition, you are a prophet, and by my definition, you are a poet!!!  Best wishes friend.
