Im baking a cake. Not from scratch. Just from a cake mix.

It says to add 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, but I can't find the vegetable oil in my kitchen.

Is there any substitute for using vegetable oil?

  1. melted butter... crisco....

  2. low-fat vanilla yogurt

  3. olive oil.

    =]

  4. For a very delicious and moist cake, you can put in a can of pumpkin instead of the oil, eggs and water in a cake mix.  You can't taste the pumpkin and it's a much healthier cake as well as being delicious.  I don't suppose you have any pumpkin around the house if you don't have any vegetable oil, but I just thought I'd let you know for future reference.  :)

  5. you can use canola oil instead it doesn't matter...but not peanut oil...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

  6. You can use melted butter if you are not calorie conscious and it will taste better than oil.

  7. Mix one can of pumpkin with the cake mix, that's all, it's so easy and good.  Very low in fat, this is a weight watchers idea i got!

  8. CANOLA, CORN,   GEE, ( clarified butter) margarine in the stick form

don't care what that 4 star 5 star chef tells you it is not the same they put SPICES IN MAYO and its going to have a garlic and onion taste! oh YUMMY  NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Use the same amount of unsweetened applesauce. Works like a charm and is healthier for you.

  10. this is going to sound a bit weird but trust me on this. I'm a pastry chef at a 4 star hotel/restaurant. I wouldn't lie to you on this.

substitute mayo in place of your oil and eggs. just make sure it is real mayo and not miracle whip
