  1. You could substitute the margarine for apple sauce if you have it!  Otherwise, I'd go to the store, or ask a neighbor!

  2. if your using margarine from a bowl that is up to 35 % water  If you must make a substitution is needs to be stick margarine which contains very little water about 6%  and everything else should be OK

the other lady is right it will not have the same texture as oil and they will stale faster that if you used oil,

  3. Use measure for measure but if the margarine you have is made with water you may need to use more.  I suggest you melt it down and measure.  If there is a lot of water pour off the margarine portion and leave the water behind.

Or you can use bananas.  1 Cup mashed banana would be the same as 1 cup oil.

  4. Go to the store and buy oil........ the texture of the muffins will turn out different if you use margarine, and they will not be as good.

  5. Use ther same amount. If it calls for a 1/4 cup of oil, use 1 stick of margerine. Sometimes I will melt it first in the microwave then blend into the wet mix.

  6. same as the oil and melt it first.... but it may not have quite the same texture as with oil
