i kinda know the basics in my head..lol,but i was wondering when you start the jeep its on neutral..your foot is all the way in the clutch, and you slowly give it gas rite..then you put ur stick on gear one to start off RIGHt..while your foot is still in the clutch...anyways.....when you come to a STOP what do you do?..do you release the clutch,or just stop while ur foot is still on the clutch????..i know ur suppose to put ur foot on the clutch everytime you change gears, but what do you do when youre NOT changing gears for a long time??????

  1. when the car is in nuetral you dont have to have your foot on the clutch,  also when youre driving you do not have youre foot on the clutch,  clutch is only for changing gears  or when youre in gear and stopped ,  example,  if you stop at a light and you stay in 4th gear you need to push in the clutch,  if you come to a stop light and you put it in nuetral you dont have to push in the cluitch when you stop

  2. STOP

When you start the car, have the gear lever in neutral and the handbrake on. You should not touch the pedals as you start it up.

    To get going:

    - Clutch right down

    - Gear lever into first gear

    - Throttle (accelerator/gas) slowly down and clutch slowly up 'till you can feel the car "biteing."

    - Release handbrake

    - Clutch slowly right up

    To stop:

    - Brake slowly down

    - Clutch right down

    - Bring car to halt

    - Handbrake on

    - Release footbrake

    - Gear lever to neutral

    - Release clutch
