the premise of college is recycling information. everyone is lame; and i'm beginning to feel college is no place for a black man because everyone is unoriginal, asexual and just wierd and odd. what do i do with my life if I quit college?

I had the same feeling when I was in college.  You basically just have to put your nose in books and focus on getting out of there.  Dropping out isn't a good idea.  

You could travel abroad your junior year.  

Also, get a part time job outside of school.  It helps you connect to the real world.  

You may also want to get involved in activities outside of school.

Career-wise, going to college definitely gives you a leg up.

However, I agree with you to some extent. It's all about teaching useless information to flock-mentality masses who are only there because they want to relish in their newfound freedom (aka, party all the time)

But.... un-sexual??? What college are you going to? Harvard?? Sheesh! Most colleges are just the opposite. My sister's college experience was an orgy-fest!

TAKE A YEAR OFF AND TRAVEL.  IT WILL DO YOU SOME GOOD. YOU CAN ALWAYS COME BACK AND GO TO ANOTHER SUITABLE COLLEGE.

Well, college is definitely not for everyone.  You really just have to follow your heart, and do what you want to do (people can give you suggestions, but the decision remains within yourself). I like to travel, try out new things, and attempt to meet new people (NOTE: college is the easiest place to meet people, it won't be so smooth on the outside world).

this wont only be happening in college, it also can happen in your job area. You just have to deal with it and dont take it serious. But sometime college isnt right for everyone, they just build from button and and work their way up. If you are doing well in school then I wouldnt drop it If i were you. But do what interest you.

Dude, you don't need college, but you need something. Make sure you have it before burning bridges and ending up in your 50s at Taco Bell.

A percentage of professors are pretty suck-o, though. But it's life's knocks unless you've got your own plan.

You're encompassing an entire part of society into a very general stereotype tha you've developed. I have a hard time believing that every single person at whichever college you attend is the way you say they are. Your life is what you make it. If you aren't happy where you are right now, then you should change it. Dropping out of college does not mean the end of the world, but it does mean that you will look less impressive on paper for resumes. Therefore, you're going to have to find a job that you love that doesn't require a college degree. Be careful with your stereotypes of people. If you're that unhappy, and can't find anyone to connect with, maybe it's you who needs to change.

im in college and im not lame.  listen if you are going to quit going to school and bettering yourself because you think the people are weird and lame, then hate to tell you, but you are the one is really weird and lame.

and it is true that some of the info that they teach is a bit useless, but most of it isnt.  you are going to learn a skill.  when a student goes to be a doctor, is the info that they are laerning useless?
