  1. well it's not a video game but I love to do crafting. There's nothing more satisfying than creating something beautiful and/or useful.

Polymer clay can be great fun, I've made beads and decorated all sorts of things with it. Here's a link that will show some fun projects

Jewelry making with beads and crystals purchased from a craft store is easy and fun. and I love making my own soaps, lotions, lip gloss etc.

I've also made decorative boxes. You can buy wooden or paper mache boxes and cover using decopage, padded fabric covers, paint, glue beads on etc. There are just so many wonderful craft items these days. You  should take a trip to the craft store and see what inspires you. You can find directions for projects online once you know what you want to create. Or watch some of the craft shows on the DIY Network, there's Carol Duvall,  Crafters Coast to Coast, From Junky to Funky, Creative Juice, B.Original, Knitty Gritty and the Martha Stewart Craft Show. You could also check out the web site for each of the shows for inspiration.

Oooh, or candle making. I make all of my own candles and it's super easy and you get candles out of it.

I hope you give it a shot it really is so satisfying.

  3. Well, if you want one that's addictive and can keep you interested for a while, trying cubing.

Cubing is basically solving Rubik's cube and Rubik's cube-like puzzles.

Just buy a rubik's cube from walmart, the instructions for solving are included.  Just keep solving it until you can do it without the instructions.  Then try things like speedcubing, which is trying to solve the cube as fast as possible (world record is about 8 seconds).

You can also do things to make the cube faster, or even use tools and putty to modify the cube's appearance.

There are also larger rubik's cubes (rubik's revenge and the professor cube) and smaller (Mini Cube and Ice Cube) ones that you can try.  You can also search for the square-1 cube and Meffert's puzzles (Pyramid and icohedron rubiks-like puzzles).

Cubing is suprisingly addictive.  I got started about 7-8 months ago, and am now making my own puzzles.

Hope you try this sport !
