Question:

I'm bored. Should I study more?

Here's the problem:

1. I worked very hard the past two semesters to finish my courses successfully, B+ average. I would study, on average, about 8 - 10 hours a day. (I'm a second-year Business student wanting to work with my uncle in the financial district in London)

2. My exams just got over yesterday.

3. Now I am bored out of my mind. I have no idea what to do for the next three weeks. My friends aren't free to drink or anything, they're at work. I work as well, but what should I do during my free time? Should I study for next semester? Please help. I'm very bored.

  1. You need a hobby or sport to relax and occupy your feverish mind. Not a good idea to work continously. Did you see the film 'The Shining'?

  2. Studying is of course a good idea.

But if you worked that hard in the recent past, you earned yourself some spare time too.

Guess you gotta find yourself something to keep you occupied and interested. No idea what that could be.

Go out, I'm sure there's someone available to see a movie with or so. Go to the beach/pool or something, do a little vacation.

Pretty generic answer, I know, but only you know what you like ;-)

  3. Your life shouldnt revolve around study, it should be a balanced life style. If you think you need to study to blow time, heck. Do it! It cant hurt can it. But remember to keep it balanced.

  4. go out! Clubbing, cinema, go on dates or whateva

  5. Have lots of s*x with your girlfriend. Watch tons of DVDs. Learn something besides business-related topics...how about take guitar lessons. Play video/online games. Volunteer somewhere.

  6. train your voice classically :P

kills time and you might even become famous XD

    or dont...

one does become awful bored after exams & intense studying

but now you have more time to catch up on TV :D

  7. **** your balls off all over your books

  8. get a hobby

  9. You don't need your friends to go out and get drunk. Go alone then you can make your own adventure.

  10. Three weeks isn't that long--the best thing to do is to "refuel".

Allow your mind to consider other things. You don't want to drift too far from your studies...but you don't need to stay totally focused on your direct curriculum.

Perhaps use the time to begin learning about the financial district in London. How does it work? What are the processes? The bellwethers? Who are the important players? What politics, people and economics define the landscape?

Everything you are learning in school is a severe abstraction of the real world--start decoding that abstraction now (in small doses of course).
