  1. Go here and take your pick: http://newfreebooks.com/#websites

And go back to the top of the page for even more ideas... the "Leap Over Web Clutter" section.

  2. I would spend hours doing cross stitching.  The best thing I did was to sew a black & white picture of my in-law's-wedding picture. Beautiful and felt great seeing it come together.

If you sew with a machine, you can make canvas grocery bags for you and your friends. I know I would appreciate some.

Volenteer at a hospital or school.  I know that is not sewing but you could make scarves for the eldery. Not only would they feel good but so will you!!

  3. Go to a  craft store and  surely you will find something

that may interest you to get into.

Sewing is a great hobby. You can make the most simple and most intricate things. And how nice is it to be able to say:

    "I made it myself".

    How about reading?

I go to the expensive Department Stores and look at their Wares, go home and make similar ones for a fraction

    of what they charge.

Find People you are creative and join their group.

There is so much fun to be had these days. How can you be bored?

And there are so many courses you can take for practically nothing.

  4. Take up bike riding!  It's great exercise, and when your legs get tired, you can coast!  Plus you can get out and see nature or different places.

Look online for some state parks nearby with bike trails.  A park with paved trails will say 'biking' trails.  A park with dirt trails will say 'mountain biking'.

  5. Go outside and run around, Or you can draw something on a piece of paper. Do something that requires you to exercise in a way that you get better at it after doing it.

  6. Why won't you try cross-stitching? It's certainly much easier than knitting, cheap and great fun too! Suits even for those awful rainy days, and you can start from the easier stamped things.
