  1. i would say yes

My cousin has an Australian and British passport and her mum is Austrailian.

So does my friend who was born and raised in Austrailia.

  2. Contact the British consulate for advice. As a Swiss national you will always keep your Swiss citizenship.

  3. Why would you want a British passport? My mum is Swiss and although has lived here for over 50 years as she married my dad, she has never given up her Swiss nationality for a British passport.

  4. yes.

  5. Yes probably but I wouldn't advise it with the state the country's in.You'll have a very low standard of living. Most of us are trying to get out of here.

  6. both countries allow dual citizenship: all depends on your year of birth?

    British nationality law

British passports may be issued to people holding any of the various forms of British nationality.British nationality law is the law of the United Kingdom concerning British citizenship and other categories of British nationality. The law is complex owing to the United Kingdom's former status as an imperial power

    # Prior to 1983?#

Prior to 1983, as a general rule British nationality could only be transmitted from the father through one generation only, and parents were required to be married. See History of British nationality law.

With effect from 30 April 2003, a person born outside the UK to a British mother may be entitled to register as a British citizen by descent if that person was born between 8 February 1961 and 31 December 1982. However those with permanent resident status in the UK, or entitled to Right of Abode, may instead prefer to seek naturalisation as a British citizen which gives transmissible British citizenship otherwise than by descent. Requirements for successful registration are that the applicant be of good character and attend a citizenship ceremony.

  7. yes you can but you may have to have a dna test done before you can get a british passport and you would have to ask yourself will your father agree to this if he is no longer living with you  and your birth certificate with your father on it , i know a freind who has got this same problem ,his father didnt want blood test done but he went to court and got him to have it he got his british passport as his dna was same as his ,hope that answered your question

  8. you may have to give up your citizenship in switz to get a british passport. or you can get dual citizenship.

  9. We're very picky. Can you do plumbing?

  10. probably. it seems like just about anyone can become a british national

  11. You can get one but you have to turn to the consulate and I don't think it will be a very short procedure because you have to become a citizen first.
