I'm buying a 9'0 swallow tail quad and i surf in alot of small waves. I'm 225lbs, will this workout?

I'm thinking about buying a 9'0 swallow tailed quad and surf in an area with alot of small waves on a regular basis. I'm a heavier guy (225lbs) and was wondering if this board will work for me. What do you say?

completely quad will give you speed and the 9' will give you the ability to ride the smaller waves with ease rather than a shorboard which is better for 5 ft. +
