I'm thinking of buying an Ibanez JTK200B or the Nikki Sixx Blackbird bass. Are either of those good, if so which one and if not what is a good rock n' roll bass guitar?

  1. I play acoustic guitar, but the answer would be the same.

Play both basses and go with the voice that better suits the kind of music you will probably be playing. DO NOT order this bass off the internet unless you have already played it.

Ibanez makes a great instrument, I am not familiar with Nikki Sixx.

  2. I haven't heard of the Blackbird bass, so I'm not sure about that one (though it's usually a good idea to stay away from brands that nobody's heard of, since you don't know how good their quality is). Ibanez is well known for making some of the best mid-range bass guitars though, so between the two I'd recommend that.

Either than that, check out a Fender Jazz (Very versatile, good quality), Fender Precision (Good quality; good sound for punk/rock, but not very flexible), something from the Ibanez SR series (Very comfortable instruments, GREAT necks...the higher end ones come with Bartolini pickups as well, which sound great), or some Peavey basses - I've heard they make some pretty nice ones.

...it sort of depends what your price range is =P ...if you're looking to spend more money on a REALLY high quality instrument, you can check out MusicMan or Warwick. If you're looking for a mid-priced instrument, I'd recommend Ibanez or Schecter.

  3. ibanez is good, i would personaly buy an esp

    ltds are awesome.

  4. The CBC141 is the best.
