Can someone please tell me what kind of car would be good for traveling in and what is the most dependable car that will last awhile. I was looking at a Ford Focus and a Dodge Intrepid. Are any of these cars any good?

  1. Check out a saturn or a honda. Stay away from the focus. The intrepid doesn't get that good of gas mileage.

  2. what ever you look at, make sure you look at consumer report to see how it rate long term..obviously you have to buy according to what you feel you can afford..there will be a plus and a minus on any of then.

  3. try to buy a car who's maker has a good reputation honda nissan and such. i got a 03 sentra with 50k for 7500 rides like new still . there are good deals out there just read reviews from the consumers and the market. do your research, remember the dealer is just there to make a sale

  4. no.

    get a Buick Century

  5. I recently bought a used 2006 Chevy Cobalt with 26,000 miles for $9,700. I have nothing but good things to say. It wasn't too expensive and gets great gas mileage. Check them out.

  6. Honda Civics are good on gas..

    So is the Focus.

  7. I'd take the Focus over the Intrepid in that case.

You could always go for a name that is known for reliability, such as a Honda or Toyota.
