I just took one tablespoon of Hawaiian salt, and though I feel fine, my throat feels tight. I'm afraid to take the other. What's going on here?

  1. the salt has dehydrated the mucus membranes in your throat by the principle of osmosis.  It won't last.  But that was a dumb thing to do, do NOT take the other one.

  2. Salt is an astringent, and an irritant,  it takes liquid out of the surrounding tissue, That is probably why your throat feels tight, this is not the greatest idea you ever had, why are you 'cleansing' your 'insides' do they feel dirty?  If so, how do you know?  If you did not have 'dirty insides' before you took the salt, now you do-do your self a favor, don't do this any more-leave the hawaiian salt for hawaiian's.  Get plenty of liquid to dilute this junk, and do NOT repeat.

  3. You will get very sick and maybe be in the hospital if you keep eating that much salt.

  4. It is possible that you are alerigic or that you didn't take enough water with it.  You may want to try to drink a throat soothing dring.

Either way, if it continues, call your doctor.
