  1. As far as I am aware (don't quote me on this)  unfortunately it costs more to recycle paper and plastic than it does to make them new which is why so many companies just churn out more, plus although many people recycle not as many people buy products made from recycled materials, therefore not completing the circle/chain, meaning that despite these things being recycled there is then no use for them so there is not really money to be made. Most recycling centres are funded by the local councils.

As for tin cans yes they are recyclable and as a previous respondent said there is money in aluminium like foil and drinks cans, as unlike paper and plastic it costs more to make new that to reuse it.

You should check with your local recycling centre to be certain though, that way you won't concentrate on items of no value or collect the wrong things.

I also think copper is valuable!

    hope this helps.

  2. Yes tin cans are recyclable but you must wash them out thoroughly and make sure you put all the sharp tops in a labeled bag so that nobody hurts themselves

  3. kep the steel and aluminium separate, ally is worth 10 times as much so concentrate on pop cans. get a little magnet (like out of an old speaker) to check which is which, you cant always tell by weight.

  4. Tin cans are recyclable but with all recyclables you must first find a center that takes them. Not all centers take all items.

  5. aluminum cans are for sure and in some places steel cans are too.  plastic milk bottles are.  newspapers and cardboard also, but I don't think you can get money for them.  they pay for aluminum.
