I hear Putin's name in the news quite a bit, and assumed that he was still president. But then it dawned on me that Russia had recently elected Dmitry Medvedev as president. Which one is it?

  1. The reason that Putin is in the news so much is that he is generally known to be the real power, Medvedev is generally thought to be more of a figurehead.

  2. Putin is now the Prime Minister, while Medvedev is the President.

  3. Vladimir Putin- lifelong president of Russia..   he technically is the Prime Minister and Medvedev the President..  but, Medvedev is just an extension of Putin.  Vlad will never go away quietly, i assure you..

  4. Who cares? as long as Russia are against the NWO Elite it can't be bad, unless it is a great big con, so when everyone wakes up to what's going on we are back the Russians and become comunists, and according to history it was the Elite who created all of these revolutions around the world, so we have to be carful over this one.

  5. The prime minister rules the country : Putin

The president  is a guardian of the institutions and can give a general politic way Medvedev

That's something you can see in a lot of countries like for Germany. Angela Merkel is the chancellor and few foreigners know the name of the German president.

You only learn it through news when something big is up and he come to give an opinion.

That's why most people only learned about Medvedev with the actual Georgia crisis cause it was his role to answer publicly after declarations of Bush about Russian role
