How do you make that cartoon-y thing show up on your little profile pic?

You can create the Yahoo avatar here:

Once you do that, come back to Answers and click on your avatar to get to your profile. The click "Edit my info". Scroll down to where you select which image you want to use as your avatar. Select the Yahoo one. Go to the bottom of the page and click on "Preview" then "OK" to save.

lol i had to figure it out last week...go to your yahoo, search yahoo avatars and make an avatar after that come back to Q&A and click "my profile" on the top right and click edit my info or profile or whatever and click use avatar as my pic :)

TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR AVATAR.

1> Click the “appearance” tab to choose the eyes and hairstyle, skin color and other things.

2> Click the “apparel” tab to choose the outfit.

3> Click the “extras and background” to get other odds and ends and choose background.

Once you've customized your avatar, don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the Profile page and press "Preview", and then "OK" in the next screen.

If you want a avatar, like a cartoon picture, then



Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com



When you get there click "Preferences" to choose male or female.



Click "Save" after you choose. Then you can create what you want to look like. Appearance, apparel, extras, etc.

Look around at the sub categories, face, hair, eyes, all categories have numbered pages, so take your time.

As you are trying thing you will see in the avatar pane. When you like it, click "Save Changes".

You can save things to Favorites for another time.

Then go back to "My Profile" in you Yahoo answers page, click "Edit My Info" on the top of the page then click Use My Yahoo Avatar.

Click "Preview" and Click "Ok"

For a cartoon avatar...

First, you need to get a Yahoo! 360 account.

Go to this site-

http://360.yahoo.com

Next, go to your page.

Click on 'Edit Personal Photos'.

Then, choose the photo you desire and upload it. This photo can also be from the internet.

Click 'Save' and go back to your Answers Profile and click 'Edit My Info'.

You can know choose your 360 picture, and you're done!
