I'm just curious to learn a little bit more about this occupation. What kinds of traits does it call for? What's your daily routine like? And what are your personal feelings about this job? Is it satisfying? Does it get repetitive?

  1. Devotion of duty, sincerity, are the basic principles of this noble profession. You have to be very patient to look after patients. Once you are recognized you will feel great to serve the needy.

  2. I'm considering a career in medicine and I actually thought about being a nurse. Some traits you need to have a career in nursing is being a lifelong learner, confidence, patience, need to be empathetic, compassionate, devout-ion, culturally sensitive, trustworthy, team player, leadership skills, respectful, effective communication skills, cooperation and being willing. You need to consider that being a nurse is job where you have to be very willing as there is a shortage of nurses in the world. Eventually, you will get tired from it because you'll be doing a lot of work which is both physical and mentality working at the same time.

At the end of the day, I guess you feel satisfied you made a difference in someone's life. Other than just the regular nurse stuff, sometimes you need to hold someone's hand and assure people everything will be alright when something happens (maybe an accident or even as simple as a needle).

The education for being a nurse is simple. You can be an RN or RPN. RN means registered nurse where you're required to have at least University Degree for 4 years. An RN is required to have full knowledge of EVERYTHING!!! Also being RPN is simpler but less pay. RPN means Registered Practical Nurse and you only know the basic stuff such as giving needles, helping people around and whatever. People with higher degrees make a significantly higher about of money. An RN makes more than an RPN. RN's and RPN's may vary in different countries.
