  1. It depends on the temperament of the rabbit and sometimes on treatment by previous owner. Both mine are rescues but neither bite, though both are wary of people. I've only ever come across one bitey rabbit. If you purchase a tame rabbit it's unlikely it will bite. Biting is a defensive behaviour, if your rabbit is comfortable that your not going to hurt it, it will not bite.

  2. yes but it deppends if you are being mean to it just feed it and take good care of it then you wont have to worry about it

  3. All animals bite. If you raise your bunny properly chances are he will be pretty friendly depending on his personality. I have a three year old mini-rex who I got when she was two months old and even though I was very nice to all her life she will not let me go near her unless there's food involved. Some bunnies just don't like people.

No offense, but it doesn't sound like you've done a lot of research on having a pet bunny considering you don't know if they bite. Bunnies can be very difficult pets. They require a lot of time out of their cage everyday and will chew anything they can get their teeth on. They also can live more than 15 years. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter and I can't tell you how many people gave their bunnies away because they thought they would be cute, friendly pets that can be held and cuddled and kept in their cage. Bunnies are adorable but are not lap pets.

  4. you should get a baby rabbit. Babies dont bite and if you continue to handle it throughout its life, they wont think of you as a threat and never bite you. If you get an adult, it may be scared of you at first and bite to protect themselves, but if you continue to handle it, it wont bite after a while.

  5. Bunnies, are usualyl very loving and friendly, and cuddly, but just like every other animal, they can get scared eaisily, and bite, sometimes it's hard, sometiems it's jsut a "Could you please put me down now?" Nip,

I love rabbits, but I would suggest, going by personality, rather than color. Try looking at adoption places, or you could even foster one, and if you like it, you can adopt it, if you want a different rabbit, you could adopt that, or yuo could just decide rabbits aren't your thing.

Just take it one step at a time. I would start by fostering though, look up Animal shelters in your area, usually the shelter will pay for Board and stay of the bunny your fostering, so no need to worry about money.

  6. Yes!  Many rabbits will bite if upset, and they can bite very hard (down to the bone).  They have very sharp teeth and most do not tolerate any sort of mishandling.  Some will even bite out of territoriality.  I have one female (a rescue) that has never bitten me.  However, strangers are another matter.  She chases and bites anyone else in 'her' home (yes, she is spayed).

  7. yes, they can bite. and very hard. it depends on the tempermant of the bunny.

  8. some bunnies do, some dont.

  9. They are very cute and fluffy but they do bite, very hard IF you annoy them. They also scratch alot but think of all the cuddles.

  10. Rabbits do bite. And in some cases, there is blood.(No rabies.) My friend has one that bites. Take your rabbit out often so it will not be territorial and bite.

  11. Try adopting they are already hand friendly. You wont have to worry about being bit and you save a life.
