I would like to train for amateur boxing, but I'm basically starting at the very beginning... I know i need to cut a good amount of weight (20 pounds or more), and I'm already 22 years old, but i feel like i have a good build for it, and it's something I'd like to do. So where do i start? I've begun running daily, and plan on starting weight training soon, but i have no real idea where to go from there...

  1. Id say the best place to start is a boxing gym. I would also say to not do weight training, as weight training will not help your speed and punching power at all.

Good old pushups, situps, leg raises are the best exercises you can do.

You will learn everything you need to know in a boxing gym, that is the best place to start.

  2. go to a boxing gym and start working with a trainer

  3. next step...... church

  4. First off you start at a well known boxing gym where people and trainers can notice you then if you got talent you dont have anything to worry about then the last thing you have to do is get to work and start kicking some butt and you'll be in the pros in no time. Good Luck

  5. Join a boxing gym and start taking classes.  Don't worry about it they will whip you into shape very fast.
