I understand that it's not necessary to vent the gable ends because it's not for human habitation. Is this true?

  1. You vent the gable end to let water vapor out so the attic want mold.

  2. You do not need to vent a well house - only dwellings where humans and animals that give off moisture are living in does it become an issue.

Most well houses the equipment is insulated to the exteme and the rest of the building is just for protection.  This allows any built up moisture to become absorbed by the dry air.  You will need to be sure that any water spills can be removed automatically by a drain or can be cleaned up easily...... otherwise the place can frost over.  Bad ju ju that is.

    Hope this helps
