  1. vatican country

    and most muslim country

have the king or prince in real.

other countries just for decoration like keeping king Elizabeth of Britain as ancient teapot in your country cupboard.

  2. In Europe? Spain, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II is also queen of Canada and perhaps others among the Commonwealth nations. At least three small European countries with either a king or a ruling prince. In Asia, Thailand, Japan, two smaller countries. Africa: several 'kingdoms' within the 50+ countries, and a handful in the Pacific islands. I probably left out a few. I'm not a fan of monarchs.

  5. Many countries have constitutional monarchies ... for example all Scandinavian countries are kingdoms (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) ... but it doesn't in actuality mean that the monarch rules.

For monarchs with absolute power, you'll have to go to places like Saudi Arabia, Lesotho, Brunei, or Nepal.

The European royal families are all (more or less) related due to various cross-country marriages over the past 500 years or so.

  6. United Kingdom And Iran And Morocco And Belgium And Norway And Sweden And Netherlands And Spain And Vatican City Country

  8. For a start, Elizabeth is not the monarch of England as this kingdom does not exist anymore, but is subsumed within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  Elizabeth II is the monarch of a number of countries, each of which are independent but share a sovereign.   This is called a “Personal Union”.   The relevant countries are Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.   (See note below for a theoretical addition.)

There are a number of other realms with Kings or Queens or such local language titles as are equivalent.   These include: Bahrain (King Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah), Belgium (King Albert II), Cambodia (King Norodom Sihamoni), Jordan (King Abdullah II), Lesotho (King Letsie III), Morocco (King Mohammed VI), Nepal (King Gyanendra), Norway (King Harald V), Saudi Arabia (King Abdullah), Swaziland (King Mswati III), Thailand (King Bhumibol Adulyadej), Denmark (Queen Margrethe II), Netherlands (Queen Beatrix), Spain (King Juan Carlos I), Sweden (King Carl XVI Gustaf) and Tonga (King George Tupou V)

However, Kings or Queens are not the only monarchs;  there are a number of other titles which are monarchial in nature.   The following details these sovereigns.   Andorra has two Co-Princes, the President of France and Bishop of Urgell.   Bhutan has a Druk Gyalpo or 'Dragon King' and he is Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck.   Kuwait has an Emir, called Sabah Al-Sabah.   Qatar also has an Emir, who is called Hamad bin Khalifa.   Japan has an Emperor, known as Akihito, but in Japan, the people are sovereign.   Luxembourg has a Grand Duke called Henri.   Malaysia has a Paramount Ruler, elected from a group of hereditary rulers.   The current office holder is Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.   The Vatican City (Holy See) is ruled by the Pope, Benedict XVI who is an elected monarch.   The United Arab Emirates is headed by a President, elected by the Emirs of the Emirates from among their numbers, but this is traditionally the Emir of Abu Dhabi, currently Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan.   Liechtenstein has a Prince, called Hans-Adam II.   Monaco  has a prince, called the Sovereign Prince, currently Albert II.   Brunei, has a Sultan, Hassanal Bolkiah.   Oman is ruled by a Sultan known as Qaboos.

Note Elizabeth II has a number of other titles and there remains some debate as to whether Queen of Ireland is one.   This title was operant in both the Irish Free State (later Ireland, commonly but unofficially known as the Republic of Ireland or Southern Ireland) and in Northern Ireland.   The Republic of Ireland Act (the act which removed the King of Ireland from the constitutional arrangements) did not abolish the title or office, but merely removed all rights, duties and powers of the monarch in relation to the Ireland.   The later repeal of the Crown of Ireland Act only had effect in Ireland, but not in Northern Ireland.   As such, it is a sound proposition, that, in Northern Ireland, Elizabeth may use the title "Queen of Ireland".   However, she does not do so, and it is not included in her list of titles and dignities.

  9. Denmark, Iran, Brunei darussalam, The Netherlands, Monaco,  Thailand...that's all i can think righ now, should be plenty more to come.

  10. Japan. Dutch. Monaco. Thailand. there are a lot. but if you say reign, most of them are not reigning, they have prime minister to reign.
