I get the most from working with people in a really creative environment and playing around with ideas. A friend suggested creative consultancy? But what would I need to do to become one?

  1. when you say art school do you mean college or univeristy?

if college then your next step could be to go to univeristy and get an art degree

if you are finishing uni then you can become an art teacher.. after all you said you love working in a creative environment.. sounds like room for teaching to me

to become a teacher apply for a PGCE in art

its a one year course and if you live in the UK you dont pay to take the course, they pay you to do it.

  3. this problem happened to me yrs ago, i had a chance to go to uni for art, but my dad said wot job would u get wen u finish, after some thought i decided against it, im glad i did now, as i hear that many people that have been through the same thing as you, and not got anything out of it. dont av any ideas of wot u can do next, but i wish u the best of luck anyway. ask your tutor if they know of any moves u can make and where to go. i went on to become a chef.

  4. Well, that's a new field in itself.  I would finish art school, or proceed and try to immerse yourself into researching the different fields related to your concentrated field.  There are almost limitless options from working in an office, to meeting with clients, working for school programs, and even starting your own business...

  5. best place to ask is the connexion advsior it might feel weird asking them because thats how i felt last year but i came through it. plus people change their job dreams even when they get to college and you are allowed to drop and gain subjects if you like or don't like.

  6. If you are in the UK talk to a connexions advisor, also go to an open day at a university - nearest to you and ask their careers advisor what they would suggest.

Be warned those jobs are over subscribed so don't be too dissappointed if aren't able to find you ideal job.

Been there too, I work with kids in care now! long way from the illustrator I wanted to be :s

  7. i suggest you go back to the college, and DRAW their attention to the fact that you are a lost little soul that needs help?
