I'm currently bidding on a PDA on Ebay?!?

I am trying to purchase the pocket pc 6900, and the seller told me in an email that the phone I was bidding on was "an EVDO phone and she thought I might need and EVDO, but that I should contact Sprint about it."

What the heck is an EVDO play? I've made bids on several of these PDA's and have been outbid. This is the first I've heard about the EVDO plan. Anybody know what she is talking about? Do I have the correct phone that I'm bidding on? It is listed as a HTCTouch MP6900SP. Is this different than the HP pocket pc 6900? Help! I may be bidding on a PDA that Sprint will not activate.
