I'm staying at a rental property and they have an ASDL connection. I'll need to pay them for the time I use and I'd like to know how much to budget. I'm in the south of France, around Carcassonne

  1. it depends where...

    - at home it's usually around 29€ per month for a 24/24h connection

    - in some places as some supermarket, train stations, if you have your PC you can have a free connection

    - you can have a free connection too in public libraries (or in town-halls if personnel are OK)

-you can pay (I don't know how much) in a place dedicated to computer and Internet access (in french we call this "café Internet")

    -------------

it's strange that you have to pay for this internet access. I just wonder why the owners didn't included it in the normal price of the rental... we have no more connections that you count with minutes... this prehistorical way to do is finished !!! so as I told you the max. we have to pay for one month is around 29€, but some more costs can be added (rent of the box 3€, phone rental 14€...). So if you are there for one month, I think that if they ask you more than 46€ they steal you, and I even think that if they ask you more than 29€ they already steal you. so for one week if they ask you more than 10€ they steal you for sure ! that's all I can tell you.
