Hum, you didn't put a city, state at all but honestly I would go private. If you take the car to a mechanic first and have them check it out, you get a quality car for a lot less! If you're worried about warranty, realize that dealers don't generally give that great of warranties on used cars.

So, get a carfax report, take it to a mechanic who treats you like an idiot but doesn't try to take your money away, and drive it yourself. You'll get a lot more car for your money!
