  1. Here is the best tip for dating a guy who loves football: don't bother him when football is on. It's more annoying for a girl to who doesn't know about football try to learn and watch, than a girl who just lets a guy watch football. You don't have to do everything with the guy, so Sunday morning you should just go do something else or make sandwiches.

    HJKS is absolutely right.

  2. Their QB is Jason Campbell who is still young and developing.  They also drafted Colt Brennan out of Hawaii this past draft.  Their running back is Clinton Portis who is a very solid RB.  Their WR's were a small group with Antwaan Randle El, Santana Moss and James Thrash none of whom even come close to bein 6'0".  So in this years draft they went after 2 huge receivers in Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas.  Their tight end is Chris Cooley who is one of the leagues better TE's.  This past offseason he just got married to a girl that used to be a Redskins cheerleader but got fired for having a relationship with Cooley.  They also just had a hge trade with the Miami Dolphins bringing over defensive end Jason Taylor.  Also last season the Redskins lost their star defensive back Sean Taylor when a couple of guys broke into his house in Florida and shot him.  I don't really know how much more I can tell you about them, but I hope this helps.

The quarterback (QB) is the field general.  He calls the play and runs the entire offense.

The running back (RB) is the guy who runs the ball.  The QB will hand it off or pitch it to him and his job is to find the holes the line should be making for him and gain as many yards as he can.  On passing plays he will either stay in and block anybody that may get through the offensive line or he may go out on a short passing rute of his own.  You will rarely see them running a passing route past 7 yards.

The wide receiver is a guy that runs passing routes and his job is to catch the ball when the QB throws it to him.  They're usually tall and thin guys, but there are quite a few successful small receivers.

The tight end (TE) is a combination of a WR and an offensive lineman (OL).  He will do a combination of route running and blocking depending on the offense that's being run on each particular play.

The offensive line (OL) are the 5 big gys that line up in front on the line of scrimmage.  Their job is to protect the QB, open running holes for the RB and keep the defense from getting to the QB long enough for him to complete his pass.

The kicker does precisely that, he kicks.  Anything being kicked off the ground is done by him.

The punter is another type of kicker but he kicks balls that he drop kicks.  The ball is snapped to him and his jobis to get it as far into the other teams territory as possible.

The defensive line (DL) are trying to get as much pressure on the QB as they can.  They want to beat the OL to sack the QB, knoc down a pass or stop the RB in the backfield.  They also want to stop the OL from moving past them to block the linebackers (LB).

The linebacker (LB) is a combination of a defensive back and a DL.  They want to come up and stop the RB on running plays and they usually drop back into pass coverage on passing plays.

The defensive backs (DB) covers the WR's, TE's and RB's on pass plays.  They will have different assignments depending on the coverage the defense is running.

    Hope this all helps.

  3. QB: Jason Campbell (young QB....a bit rough around the edges)

WR: Santana Moss (short fellow but a real burner!)

WR: Antwaan Randle El (all around solid WR.....has injury problems but versatile)

RB: Clinton Portis (a real bruiser with enough speed to leave defensive backs in the dust)

TE: Chris Cooley (Campbell's go to guy)

Quarterback: calls plays receives snaps (aka ball) from centers responsible for getting the ball to Wide Receivers

Wide Receivers: run specific routes aimed at exploiting open areas of the field for positive yardage on passing plays.....Quarterbacks target these players to make a successful completion

Runningback: A player who primarily carries the ball and runs to make positive yardage

you really don't need learn every aspect of the game......if you watch the game and enjoy it.........things will be allright

  4. Trust me, the last thing we care about as men is if our women want to talk about, or watch sports with us.
