I'm dead set on joining the marines, but i have a few questions ?

I'm pretty smart, but I'd rather be on the field than working on the computers. I want to see the world. I want to have the life experience to tell my kids and their kids. My questions are, how difficult is BT, how good is the pay (From worst to best,) and the living conditions (On Base, and during the tour.)

BT is not difficult as long as you can do a decent amount of pull-ups, crunches, and get a decent run time. It's mainly mental. They'll try to break you down and they'll definitely wear you out, but just try to hang on.
