I'm doing a G# Minor Harmonic scale, and there is this random x thing next to the note. What does it mean?

  1. An x is a double sharp. So play a whole step higher. A double flat is two flats next to each other.


  2. It's a double sharp.....play the note two half steps above.

  3. double sharp.  go up 2 half steps from the original note.
