I'm doing a essay on 8-ball pool, what can I talk about?

It is for English. I have to do a Power-point of a subject of my choice, and chose Pool. However, the disadvantage is, I don't know what to talk about. Can you help me? (Please don't say 'Talk about something else.')

Talk about how the sport developed.  Is it popular here just in the U.S.?  Where else?  Cost of having a table, sticks, chalk, etc.  How some people are really into the sport of it and compete.  What kind of training?  Relate it to angles and geometry.  What are some of the tricks called?  What games can be played?  Some suggestions...I hope they help.

You could also do part of your essay on the different variations.  I.E. 8 ball, straight pool, number rotation, etc.  In addition you could make mention of the great players, how pool has trended in the last 20 some years and how faster variations such as 9 ball have taken over the sport.
