I have basically covered all of Ireland but i need one more thing....for all Irish readers or anyone who knows about Ireland, i need to add some facts that the average people don't know about Ireland. Any fun facts or such :)

    It is the second richest country in europe, after finland.

    It has more millionares per capita than the USA.

    Third level education is basically free here with university fees abolished.

    the end of school examinations here called the leaving cert is one of the toughest in the world, just after the japaneese equivilant.

  7. Irish people call the native (well, native is a strong word....) language 'Irish' NOT 'Gaelic'. If they call it something else it's "Gaeilge" - which is the word in Irish (or 'as Gaeilge').

  10. There are no snakes in Ireland, and no-one really knows why. There is a legend that St. Patrick drove them out of the country, but there are no fossils of snakes found here either.

    Also, Ireland is the world's largest exporter of ripe bananas, even though no bananas grow here. They are imported green from central America and ripened under artificial lights at a huge plant in Limerick.
