  1. My mom made this potato dish alot, don't know the name but it was good!! I make it too and everyone loves it.

1/2 # bacon (Canadian is more like Irish bacon, but I use US bacon) chopped and sauteed with 1 medium onion, diced, about halfway through add 1/2 head cabbage finely chopped and saute until bacon is done,  add this mixture to 1 1/2 # mashed red potatoes, mix well, form into patties, press on bread crumbs, spray/spritz with olive oil and bake at 350 until browned on both sides, about 1/2 hour. Serve with sour cream>

900g/2 lb potatoes ,peeled and sliced

    salt and saxa pepper

    4 tablespoons chopped parsley

Bring the water to the boil and drop in the ham bacon and sausages.
