I'm downloading a HD film on my Xbox 360. Can I....?

Play a game at the same cause its taking ages and i'm bored. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the Xbox 360 will download in the background while you play. Just don't turn it off when you're done playing, unless you've chosen to allow your 360 to continue downloads when powered off.

but if you go online you might experiance lag

The 360 will continue downloading what you told when you play a game. However, some games will stop the download when you put them in or go into an online game. If you turn on background downloads in the System Blade somewhere, it will continue to download when you turn it off and then power down completely when it's done.
