  1. Year 10 is fine trust me.

I hardly did any work and I have just finished year 11 and I am expecting great grades.

Just do the work and if you mess up a little then don't worry it will be fine trust me.

Year 10 for me was the best year, its a great year, enjoy it. Your young once you have done your gcse's it all starts.

Good luck, you'll be fine, I promise.

Have a great rest of summer and a great year 10.

    x*x

  2. i don't know what happened to your friends - but i can find you plenty more people who enjoyed year 10 - including me! i'm going to be a junior this year, and between freshman and sophomore year - i definitely enjoyed sophomore year more! i knew my way around, how to deal with teachers, study better, etc.

don't worry, you'll be fine, and soon enough you'll find yourself enjoying year 10!

  3. scarlet is right.

year 10 is great. Don't worry about the work load in year 10 for GCSEs, it's not much more than year 9. just as long as you spend a bit more time on coursework you'll be fine.

For me, year 8 was the worst, but it's down to individuals which years they liked.

    good luck with GCSEs.

  4. "Year 10 in my opinion is harder than year 11 but only if you don't do your coursework. Get it all done as soon as possible and then everything will be easier. Any year will be hard if you don't do the work but it's nothing to fear!"

I agree with this answer. If you are not serious about your coursework in year 10 (much more coursework especially english in year 10 than year 11) you'll find year 10 much MORE harder than year 11. Stay focused, motivated and calm and at the end of year 11, you'll expect great results!

    Good Luck!

  5. 10 is great! its good cuz youre not the youngest anymore. more freedom.

  6. hi i'm 14 too nd gonna go in year 10 [u.k] but people are saying it's going to be hard like exams and courseworks. helllllllllppppppp! good luck! have fun!

  7. Sometimes people just say things like that to make you scared! Even if it was 'h**l' for him, that doesn't mean it'll be the same for you. Here are some positive things about starting year 10:

You will be older so the teachers will (hopefully) treat you with more respect and give you more freedom.

The GCSE course gave me something to focus on and the other people in my class generally settled down and started to work rather than disrupt the class. Maybe it'll be the same in your school.

It's unlikely that anything will go wrong if it's been okay in other years.

The best thing to do is to be organised with work, be nice to people in your year and to have fun!

    Good luck x

  8. 10th grade is the same as all the rest. How hard it is depends on your attitude towards school itself. If you have a good attitude about learning it will breeze by. If you have a poor attitude it surely seem like h**l.

  9. There is absolutely no reason to dread year 10. Keep you're head down and do the work. Don't fall behind. Start revison early and that should get you through. Don't forget to socialise too. As someone who is awaiting A level results, i shall tell you that year 10 is a doddle. Believe me when you come to do A levels, you won't know what has hit you if you fail to put some wotk in now. GSCEs are not demanding at all, compared to the tough 2 year battle i've had with the A levels.

Good luck, and enjoy it. You're only young once!

  10. Hi baygirl, you will not go to school to know what others think of you but you go to make your name know to world by reading.

On monday i have an interveiw,am not from india but i need grade 10 and low work on Math and English. If you have any information, give me missed call or call on +919703836394 or send me an email ellanolla@yahoo.com

  11. Year 10 in my opinion is harder than year 11 but only if you don't do your coursework. Get it all done as soon as possible and then everything will be easier. Any year will be hard if you don't do the work but it's nothing to fear!

  12. hey don't worry about year 10 i found year 9 much more harder! if you have gone through year 9 then year 10 will be a breeze just be yourself and don't be nervous and if you want to change your options I'm sure they give you some time where you can change your options for courses if you don't like them. its not really hard just make sure you study hard and forget what others think or say and you will be fine. good luck!

  13. Year 10, that's going back a few years for me!

    I don't see why it is h**l, I quite enjoyed year 10.

It is quite difficult, for most subjects you will have a lot of coursework, some you will complete in year 11, others in year 10.

Quite a few teachers prefer to get all the coursework 'out of the way' in year 10, this allows time for it to be re-done in year 11 and gives you more exam preparation time.

You will probably have a lot of homework + coursework to do after school, which may be why the boy referred to year 10 as "h**l."

Keep on top of any essays/assignments and you will be fine. The worst thing to do is leave them until last minute.

  14. Im guessing year 10 is like a Sophmore in high school in the USA. I LOVED 10th grade! That and senoir year were the best years in high school for me. You werent the youngest kids in the school anymore and you only had 2 more years of school to go threw! The teachers give you a little more independance just because you are a year older and in my school grade 10 ment more electives and the final year of PE. Overall grade 10 was amazing!

  15. Y10 is fine. It's just the same as other years but you have dropped a lot of subjects, and you have to do some coursework. Nothing to worry about.

If you are going to worry about anything, worry about Y11.

  16. Although year 10 is hard, It's not any harder than any other year, as long as your confident about the subjects you've chosen and you study for your assessments and exams then you should be fine. If your overly worried speak to your parents and maybe they can get you extra tuition? Your school should be able to provide a guidance teacher for all students so speak to him/her for advice too.

Good Luck & don't listen to other people, he may of just trying to worry you more, enjoy the rest of your summer. x

  17. you've got this far, there really is nothing to be worried about, give it a week for everything to settle down and it will be back to normal
