I'm due for IVF how many times before it works? ?

The Doctors say one or two times but I'm not sure, I want a Baby though.

there's no real answer here, there are lots of people who have had ivf and been really luckily and it worked first time, but there are others who need more tries at it and work on goes 3 or 5 or even more.

there is no guarentee with IVF it could work first time, it could take 5 times, it couldn't work at all.....

good luck I got preg with clomid and im currently 15weeks xx

it really depends on a lot of things, your age, the reason you need the treatment, is it you or your partner with the problem? When it's the female it can be more difficult to get pregnant straight away. I have a 7 month old concieved first go with ivf it was not me who had the problem it was my husband who had poor quality sperm. I am now 3 months pregnant with our second who was concieved after a fresh cycle of ivf, we did try to use our 1 frozen embryo from last cycle but it failed. My friend on the other hand is going through her 5th attempt, all have failed and the problem lays with her, she has endometriosis which is causing their problems. Goodluck with your ivf

As others have said everybody is different so you can never tell how many cycles it will take. The key factors in predicting the success of IVF are:

    * age;

    * number of embryos replaced, and

    * cause of infertility.

I am in the position of having to go through this treatment, and since we have to pay for it ourselves and I'm at the upper age limits I have been doing a lot of research.

I have just written an article that gives:

   1. The costs that are incurred for any one IVF cycle
