  1. Ignore the answerer fivetoze there is much more to dyslexia than spelling errors. If people think that just because you typed out this question properly doesn't mean to say that you are dyslexic clearly don't know much about dyslexia.

Some people are just plain ignorant and they probably can spell but lack the talent us dyslexics have in creative thinking and high intuition

  2. Just read The Vicar of Nibbleswicke by Rohl Dahl - you'll see that things are really not that dab LOL

EDIT the good vicar kept saying the word God backwards which caused quite a lot of confusion.

  3. Because they're being obnoxious x

  4. ....to correct me. Why?

  5. you arent dyslexic...

20 words and no mistakes; id say you had a better understanding of the language than most school children these days

  6. I have tendencies towards pedantry myself, so I can sympathize (although I also can't spell). Some people like things to be precise, or accurate. For some people, misspellings bug them - much as people using schizophrenia when they mean Dissociative Identity Disorder bugs me especially. So just ignore answers like that, it's not a big deal. There's a certain amount of rubbish answers for *every* question, dyslexic or not.

  7. because it makes them feel better about them selves. By correcting ur mistake it tells them they no something you don't, people that are insecure with there own level of intelligence usually do these kinds of things.

  8. because they think your stupid.

  9. 22 words with no spelling mistakes! O dint thonk si!

  10. Does the spell-checker not work if you're dyslexic? How very q***r...

As to why people correct spelling mistakes in general - I would hazard a guess that it's something of a reaction against the gradual erosion of the language. Without people being pulled up on mistakes, the language that gave Shakespeare to the world will be reduced to "hai how r u 2day LOL!!11!one!!1"

    Which would be sad.

  11. Dyslexia rules KO.

  12. Failing to answer a question breaks the guidelines and warrants a violation, if someone just corrects your spelling and doesn't answer report them.

  13. Pkwater has got it spot on. They are ignorant and insecure within themselves.  They sadly gain contentment by putting another down.  I too am dyslexic and unfortunately you will always experience people who will belittle you for you grammar.

It doesn't help  you knowing why they do it though, we cant change their attitude but we can change ours.   Dyslexia is an official learning difficulty and any prejudice expressed against a dyslexic can be officially challenge such as in the work force.

  14. You need these corrections or you will insist on writing things backwards. Get it?

Edit: How would they know anyway? And instead of whingeing, have you considered just saying, "Thank you."

  15. Some people have to find fault in things and are very quick to point it out to you....I say ignore them....There will always be those types of people around unfortunately...Unless you are in a spelling class or English class, they have no right to correct you....I on the other hand have the utmost respect for you and what you have to go through being dyslexic...It must be difficult at times.... And, finally, I will NEVER correct your spelling....You are fine by me..((((HUGS)))..Linda

  16. No one would know you were dyslexic by the question you posed here, as a matter of fact I checked how to spell dyslexic from your question.

  17. cuz they're s****s
