I make sure I try to eat three meals a day, I don't eat junk food and exercise. For exercise, I do 30-40 minutes of cardio every day, usually on a stationary bicycle, and every three days I do a muscle work out and I take a 1hr yoga class once a week. I'm still gaining weight - and not getting smaller for that matter!!!

I'm female, 20 years old..I have a congenital heart defect. Over the past month (give or take a few weeks) my feet - and sometimes hands - have been swelling up every day nearing the end of the day. I am extremely sensitive to the heat and have been very tired..constantly... decreased appetite some days (though I try to eat enough on these days anyways..not eating just makes me even more tired) I'm really worried that this may be something conscerning my heart..it probably is..but I'm asking yahoo users advice anyways..

  1. You could have vitamin deficiency .  Maybe ask your doctor if you have a B vitamin deficiency .

  2. Try to lower your calories to 1200 and i would suggest seeing your doctor! you can never be to safe! Also make sure to take a multi vitamin everyday!

  3. Susan, instead of asking advice from a group of people who are not professionals, why don't you consult with your doctor?  It makes no sense at all healthwise.  You have a heart defect.  Any decision you or anyone else on the board makes can harm you.  Don't tamper with your health.  See a doctor.

  4. go swimming

  5. No matter what, see your doctor. Aside from that, off the top of my head, cut back to 1500 calories, take a look at your sodium intake, drink tons of water.
