  1. If it was just a CK, it could mean you have a bruise somewhere.  The test measures breakdown in muscle tissue.  People after a car accident often have much, much higher CK's.  But what did the doctor say?  I hope you asked him.

  2. Blood tests do not specify the " type " of CK ( Creatine kinase ), also known as creatine phosphokinase (CPK) or phosphocreatine kinasealso, but only indicate the level of CK. Normal values of CK are usually between 25 and 195 U/L.

In a blood test result of CK level, being over the normal, it will only suggest the following :

    - Injury

    - Rhabdomyolysis

    - Myocardial infarction

    - Muscular dystrophy

    - Myositis

    - Myocarditis

    - Malignant hyperthermia

    - Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

    - McLeod syndrome

    - Hypothyroidism

Further examinations will be needed to conclude any of the above stated possible diagnostics.

Wishing You A Good Health !
