Ok, I am 13, male, 5'6", and way 155-160lbs.

I don't snack, I drink plenty of water, I eat average sized meals. What's going on! Is it because I don't exercise? Granted, now that school's starting I will lose some weight due to in school I have a hundred calorie lunch and gym class, but I don't understand why I'm as big as a house, scratch that, a museum! Ugh! Please help me, and please be respectful.

  1. You have to exercise and be active dude. That's it. Otherwise, it could be a hormonal or other medical issue. Talk to your mum about it. Then maybe you guys can speak to your doctor?

  2. exercise and eat the right foods. burn more calories than you take in

  3. Some people are prone to holding more body fat than others, and it sounds like your one of the unlucky ones.  This just means you have to work harder than most others at keeping your body in shape.  So obviously eating well isnt enough for you.  You need to combine a quality diet with a good amount of exercise.  Start weight training after school at your school weight room.  Start running after school, do whatever you need to, but you need to do something.  Also start keeping track of everything you eat.  Alot of people who are over weight, truly believe they dont eat that much, but in fact they actually eat quite a bit.  If you are keeping your calories below 2500 per day, then you just need to exercise more.  Plain and simple.  But if you find that you have been consuming more than that, then your eating habits may not be as good as you think.  Good luck.

  4. You just have a slower metabolism... start excercizing and try eating healthy... and you are not that big... trust me.  I believe this is in the normal weight range.
