okay I'm 13 years old, and 5'5 and 140. I think I'm SO freaking fat my mom tells me that I'm fat sometimes and some of my friends, I want to be skinny like miley cyrus. SO i can get guys to like me and so i can feel better about myself. I haven't ate anything today and I'm not planning too i just ate a bowl of cereal a small one. and that's all for today. I wear a size 7 jeans. and i have huge thighs:[. Ugh i want be skinny like everyone else.

  1. Ok, 140 really isn't that bad, really. Your mother and friends are wrong to be putting you down like that. Miley Cyrus is almost anorexic skinny and most guys like girls with curves, not just skin and bones. Here are somethings you may wanna try, though, if you want to lose weight.

    *You should be eating a good breakfast, like maybe some Honey Nut Cheerios and maybe some whole-wheat toast (but with margarine or jam made from real fruit, preferably not butter or really sweet jam).

    *Then, try cutting out all major junk food you eat (like soda to unhealthy dessert), and try replacing it with healthier alternatives (like water and fruit dishes like fruit salad or maybe some vitamin-loaded berries for dessert).

    *It may help to eat you food in little bits throughout the day then just a big meal once a day. If you eat small meals more frequently (preferably being with the largest one as breakfast so you will have energy throughout the day), your metabolism is already started up and it'll digest it better than if you ate only 1 or 2 big meals a day.

    *Drinking more water will help you flush the bad stuff out of your system and will hydrate you enough to make your thirst too quenched for soda.

    *Here's the most important one: You need to burn more calories than you consume to loose any weight. You shoud be giving your body the right food, just keep it kind of low calorie and try burning it off. That is what you need to do to loose weight.

  2. I'm shorter than you and weigh a little more than you. i would kill to be your size, so don't let anything get to you. Not eating often slows down your metabolism so eat something

    First off, your mom shouldn't be telling you these negative things. If she thinks you are overweight, and tell you to your face, then she is not a good parent, and shouldn't have had kids in the first place. Plain and simple.

    Second, If your friends tell you you're fat, they're not your friends. 5'5" and 140 is thin. They are jealous.

    Third, Miley Cyrus is a made-up, glammed out pop star, who contributes nothing to society except poor music and pictures of her in her underwear. Pick a better woman to want to be like, like - I dont know - Amelia Erhart or Marie Curie. These women actually contributed to the world.

    Fourth, If guys don't like you now, for who you are, they are so shallow, they would only end up cheating on you and making you cry anyways, so why bother. You're looking for a person that likes you as you are. You're 13. You have 25 years to find someone - twice as long as you've been alive.

    Fifth, being thin shouldn't make you feel better about yourself. You are you, you are unique. Nothing should make you feel happier than that.

    Sixth, Not eating will make you fat. When you do not eat, your body shuts down. It will first slow metabolism, which makes you tired, makes you hungry, and makes you less able to digest food, then it starts to eat its own muscles, which assist in fat-burning. You are taking the EXACT WRONG COURSE OF ACTION here.

    Seventh, Size 7 is small.

    Eighth, I love when a girl has non-stickly legs. If a girl is super thin, I usually don't want to have anything to do with her. Bigger legs are hugely s**y. Look at Hayden Panettiere's  legs and tell me those are thin.

    Ninth, and final, NEVER EVER WISH TO BE LIKE SOMEONE ELSE! Being who you are should be thought of as your unique gift to humanity. Know that there are similar people, but no one is YOU. When talking to a 13-year-old girl in a s*x-crazed society gone mad, I'm sure this will be like talking to a wall, but you need to learn that you are who you are. You need not change for anyone.

  4. Two things you need to do, exercise whether you eat calories or not to burn up the calories you've accumulated in certain areas of your body. Your body is at it's best when receiving nourishment along with exercise to keep metabolism working properly to prevent fat cells from forming and getting larger.   5. Try exercising a bit.... jog, ride a bike, go swimming, play a sport.

    But don't skip too many meals.  Eat something small three times a day.  Your body will get use to a smaller caloric intake and you won't feel hungry all the time.  But you have to eat and stay active!

  6. Sweetie I'm so sorry to hear that your mom calls you over weights. Well here's something I can tell you. Not eating doesn't nothing really. It all depends on what you eat. Instead of carbonated drinks try water. Some juices are good for vitamins yet some of them have a lot of sugar. Try to stay away from fatty foods and try for some fruits and vegetables. It takes time to lose weights so don't give up. Take up a sport, when your watching TV, do some crunches, V-ups, push-ups, or leg lifts. Even if you still weigh a good amount if your doing this let me tell you this. Muscle weights more than fat. Trust me. I work out everyday, i would say I'm really fit, I weight 125 and I'm 5'6. And just to tell you even though Miley Cyrus is skinny, doesn't mean she's healthy. If you do these things, even though she's skinnier than you, you WILL BE FIT IN A HEALTHY WAY.

  8. I agree, you definitely do not want to be starving yourself...cut down on your serving sizes and try not to snack between meals. Also try salad and meat for dinner... never eat heavy just before you sleep. Do some fun exercise with some friends... biking, walking, even aerobics to one of those shake your booty type work outs! Your just 13! (It's your mom's fault!) Anyhow, a great guy will like you for who you are and support you with your weight loss efforts. Keep at it and Good luck.

  10. Not eating will make you gain weight, actually.  By not eating your body goes into starvation mode, causing you to not use as many calories as you normally would.  

    What you really need is some counseling to get a better body image of yourself.  Or more accurately an actual body image of yourself.  Your body image that you have now is very distorted.

  11. You're not fat. Don't obsess over how someone else looks either. The main thing is to love yourself no matter what you look like. All you need to do is make sure you are HEALTHY. You are at a healthy weight for your height. A size 7 is normal. You may want to do some exercises to tone up though. DONT STOP EATING! You REALLY need lots of nutrition at your age, you are still growing! If you dont eat enough you are going to have so many health problems, girlie.

    Make sure you have at least 1,200 calories a day. Break it up into 6 small meals of 200-300 calories each. Space the meals 3-4 hours apart.

    Cadio exercise 5 days a week at least in 30 min. - 60 min. sessions. If you skip one, don't freak out about it. Stay motivated.

    Weightlifting every other day! Eat lots of protein, drink only water and Crystal Light Energy, and get enough fiber/calcium.

    You may want to consider taking a multi-vitamin and calcium+vitamind d supplement.

    You should try adding some more exercise, cardio and things like that.  Also just eat healthier, no junk food and candy.  That should help.

  13. Ok, so maybe you could lose a little weight. But DON'T stop eating. I REALLY mean that. Believe me... I've tried that way, and it does NOT work. They're are many things that can go wrong when you stop eating. You could be come anorexic, or you could binge really badly and end up gaining more weight.

         Since you're 13, you are still growing and need energy to grow. You may still thin out, so don't worry to much about it.
