He spaces when I talk to him. he disappears for hours when I visit him sometimes and I just sit at his house alone half the day. He has changed so much I feel like I'm not even there sometimes.

I now know he doesn't want me around, but I want to respect the past

. please give me a mature speech on what to tell him.

  1. The best thing that I can say is don't be vague. Be clear on what you're feeling and just come out with it. Try something like this:

"The last few ____(insert amount of time spent here) have been confusing. It seems like you've really changed from one of my best friends (or insert term of relationship here) into a person that I barely know. I barely even know why I come over anymore, because when I do I'm either alone, or I might as well be. Look, we both know that things have changed. You're not the friend that I used to know. (Optional line: If you don't want me around just tell me now.) It's okay. I'm just a little sick of things around here. Maybe it's time to move on with our lives. All I'm saying is that I'm not coming back if it's going to be exactly the same tomorrow."

So much for mature. Oh well, if you want to use it, go ahead. Good luck...
