I don't know where you are flying to or from, but Southwest offers "I wanna get away" specials on-line only. It is also beneficial to check on Tuesdays.

Definitely now, earlier is always better for booking anything pertaining to travel.  Check out the site below for tons of deals on travelocity, priceline, expedia, etc...Even hotels.com (if you need one).  Its a very user friendly site.  Just look in Special Offers, under the SHOPPING tab.  Hope it helps.  Have a safe flight!!
