Any suggestions? I'm flying into Rome in a couple weeks then will be needing to take a train to Perugia. I'm not familiar with either city, nor the airport. Can anyone provide help/suggestions/advice?

Much thanks

  1. From Rome's airport (Fiumicino) to Perugia, you can go by train, as the previous user suggested, or you can take a bus that goes directly from the Airport to Perugia.

  2. You can find all train schedules at this website:

    http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovi...

Once you are there, you can enter the following:

    Departure: fiumicino aeroporto

    Arrival: Perugia

then select the times you want to search for.

This will give you the trains from the airport in Rome to Perugia.  If you will be staying in Rome before going to Perugia, you will make your departure 'Roma Termini' which is the Rome Central Train Station.

Depending on the train you select, the journey will take between 3 hours and 15 minutes and 4 hours  (there are longer ones, too... but why consider those?)

In any case, you will have to change trains at a station... usually the central station in Rome, but possibly another one.
